Wrap Free Wednesday

Today is our last wrap free Wednesday of the year! We had 7/22 wrap free, and we only had 26 wrappers all together! That's the least wrappers we have had - well done Room 11!!

Writers of the week

We have 2 writers of the week!! We were doing descriptive writing about a photo. Cloe & Raureti were being KC kids working really hard on their writing, and using great description.

End of Year Picnic

Today we went to the Hamilton Lake to celebrate our awesome learning in 2013! We had lots of fun playing on the playground, slide, and swings!

Today it is wrap free Wednesday we have 6/22 peoplewrap free.  And we have 46  wraps our goal is to have less wraps.

Writer of the Week

Our writer of the week is Tilya!!  We were writing instructions on how to grow hairy herbs.

Measurement

We have been learning about measurement in mathematics. We traced  around our soft toys, and today we measured how tall our soft toys were and ordered them from smallest, to biggest. Jono and Anusheel had the biggest soft toys!

Wrap Free Wednesday

Today Room 11 had forty two wraps and five wrap free people. Room 11 would love to be first on assembly about wrap free Wednesday! But we will need to have more wrap free people, and less wrappers.

Writer of the Week

Niall is our writer of the week. We have been learning about keeping our hearts healthy. Niall worked hard on his writing and he explained different ways to keep our hearts healthy.

Athletics day

Last Week we had Athletics Day. We had fun running, jumping, throwing, and doing the obstacle course!

Health Eating

We had Dianne come in to our classroom and teach us about how much sugar there is in different drinks. We should choose to drink water and milk every day!

Writer of the Week

Zarian is our writer of the week! We wrote about our favourite part of athletics day. Zarian got onto his writing straight away and worked really hard, being a great KC kid.

Wrap Free Wednesday

Today is wrap free Wednesday! We have 8 people who are wrap free! That is more then last week. But we had 49 wrappers this week! Our goal for next week is to cut down our wrappers.

Writer of the Week

Cayden is our writer of the week! We went to see the caterpillar tree, and then described what we saw. Our goal was to describe and use WOW words.

Hiwi the Kiwi Visit

On Wednesday we went to see the Hiwi the Kiwi show. The Minstrel taught us about fishing and boat safety. We learnt that you always have to wear life jackets on a boat!

Today is wrap free Wednesday. We had 6 people wrap free that is 32%. We achieved our goal to have less wrappers as we had 34 this week. We are going to keep our goal of having less wrappers.

Cameron is our writer of the week! We wrote what am I? poems. Our goal was to describe. Can you guess what Cameron was describing?

Farewell Mrs Steel

Today was Mrs Steel's last day. We had a shared lunch to say goodbye. We will miss you!!!!

iPad

Today we used the Colar Mix app to make our Pukeko's come alive! We coloured in a picture of a Pukeko and when we put the screen over it, it animated our picture and started moving. We put our hands under the screen to make it look like the Pukeko was walking on our hands.
